Direction Over Prescription
_____

We poured our hearts and souls into the narrative drive of the trailer, in our quest for an art direction that best represented the product. And how we aimed to this was to convey to a clear vision without restricting our artists with rigid guidelines.

From the very beginning to the final stages of production, we embraced a collaborative approach, encouraging our artists to elevate the work in a way that means something to them. Our artists to contributed their own perspective and excitement making this more than just a project. The result? A trailblazing spectacle fuelled by our team's collective vision.
Selling The Product Position
_____

To make a meaningful impact with our commercial, it was essential to have a solid grasp of the product positioning. In the case of DeathAdder V2 Pro, our focus was highlighting the mouse's iconic ergonomic shape that has remained unchanged over the years, whilst having it's technology completely overhauled.

Every detail of the environment was carefully planned and crafted to meet timeline expectations whilst maintaining quality, transporting audiences from an ancient alien cave to a futuristic high-tech realm, allowing the timeless design of the DeathAdder V2 Pro to truly shine.
From "Accidents" to "Finals"

Throughout production, the numerous VFX tests that we generated played a pivotal role in our creative decision-making process. We took the best bits from each shot and used them to elevate the overall impact and quality of our effects. It was a relentless cycle of testing, creating, and refining as we capitalised the strengths of each VFX test shot to organically develop the eventual desired effect.
Doing More
_____
In this project, we poured our hearts into creating a rich tapestry of shots, giving each one the love and attention it deserved. Despite the distinct nature of each shot, our editor, animator and sound design worked closely with the director to weave everything together, ensuring a harmonious flow from start to finish.

With a very similar timeline and resources as most of our other Razer projects, we really pushed some boundaries with this one, achieving more than we ever imagined possible. Looking back, we can't help but feel a surge of pride in what we've accomplished.
Director's Mesage
_____

Retrospectively looking at all the work done for this project, I'm deeply humbled to have had the opportunity to work with the talented hands and willing hearts who have pushed themselves very hard to deliver this exciting commercial amidst the pandemic. Working remotely required extra effort to keep the communication flowing and giving directions was particularly challenging with the technological hurdle of online video streaming.

Seeing the team staying true to the direction and pivoting together to achieve the vision together regardless of the issues at hand, is something worth being reminded of every now and then. If there's anything I can take away and share with the world from what I've learnt from directing this project is that the people you are working with are much more resilient than you think, so trust each other and pull through together.

With that, you're bound to do something unexpectedly amazing.
